UP Games aims to expand the board game audience by publishing easy to learn and accessible games for all ages. We strive to make dynamic games with engaging interaction and outstanding replayability.

Founded by the game designers of Monkey Palace (the new LEGO game) and Gnome Hollow as well as an owner of several board game bars and cafes, we seek to provide memorable experiences and inspired diversions that can be played in a wide range of venues.

We truly hope you enjoy our games, and we thank you for giving them a try!

Greg May

Greg May founded The Uncommons — the first board game cafe in Manhattan — after noticing that tabletop gaming lacked a local home. Celebrating their tenth anniversary in 2023, he has since founded Hex & Company with three locations in NYC, as well as Hexagon Alley in Columbia, Missouri. With multiple successful Kickstarters under his belt, and having helped hundreds of designers over the years, he’s excited to dip his toes into publishing.

Originally from small town Iowa, Greg has worked in everything from food journalism to photography, while living around the world in DC, SF, Beijing, and Honolulu. He’s been quoted widely in the tabletop world, and his spots have been featured everywhere from NBC to the New York Times, The New Yorker, and far beyond. He currently lives in Tribeca with his wife and three year old daughter Olympia.

TAM

TAM is a prolific and award winning designer of tabletop and digital games. His interest in tabletop games started young at the age of 10. Growing up in Burma, making games was a creative and artistic outlet for TAM, and led to a career in art and technology. He has started several companies that combine his passion for games, education, art, and technology over a 30+ career.

TAM is a founding partner at Tabletop Refinery that helps publishers bring games to market. He is also on the board of directors for the Unpublished Games Network that organizes events for designers to receive development resources and public play-tests. Prior to UP Games, he founded Neuronic Games with the goal of creating cutting-edge educational technologies by marrying art and technology with games.
